The HaBaWaBa Festival in Lignano is the most famous tournament, that highlights the young promises of the waterpolo. For 8 days the young players from all over the wolrd will compete in one of the most important event.

The festival takes place in the pool of the Ge.Tur. Village from June 25 to July 2, it involves children from 7 to 11 years old and is supported by FINA (Fédération Internazionale de Natation), LEN European aquatic, FIN Federazione Italiana Nuoto, COMEN Confédération Méditerranéenne de Natation.

The HaBaWaBa International Festival 2017 has incredible numbers: 136 teams, 13 more compared to 2016, divided in the two tournaments (112 teams for U11, 24 for the U9), 6 fields (last year 5).

The waterpolo festival is now a fixed event in Lignano's sporting events calendar, and its success is also due to the precise organization of WPD Waterpolo Development, a nonprofit association that aims at the development of water polo.
