This year, the Festa delle Cape, the event that since 1984 has marked the beginning of spring in Lignano Sabbiadoro, will take place over two weekends: March 7–8 and March 14–15, 2026.
In Piazza Marcello D’Olivo in Lignano Pineta, local fishermen will once again serve typical seafood dishes made with the fresh catch from our sea. This much-loved celebration attracts hundreds of visitors, including many from nearby towns.
Among the traditional dishes offered at the Festa delle Cape are razor clams (cappe lunghe), clams, grilled sardines, breaded sardines, sarde in saor (sweet-and-sour sardines), calamari, and other local specialties.
Due to the large number of visitors, queues and long waiting times are expected.
We therefore recommend arriving well before the kitchen opens, keeping in mind that the ticket dispenser is placed about 15 minutes before the cash desk opens.
At 10:45 AM and 4:30 PM on each day of the event, a collection point will be set up at the entrance where you can pick up your pre-number and the menu.
Note: Distribution of pre-numbers will stop once the event reaches its maximum capacity.
Without a pre-number, it will not be possible to access the kitchen area.
The cash desks open at 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
Your pre-number will appear on the display.
At the cash desk you will receive:
a summary receipt,
a ticket for each item ordered, and
a kitchen number.
Tip: To speed up the process, please decide what you’d like to order in advance and mark your choices on the menu before approaching the cash desk.
The kitchens open at 11:30 AM and 5:30 PM.
When your number appears on the display, please go to the counter and hand over:
your kitchen number,
the summary ticket, and
all the product tickets, except those for bar drinks and clams, which are collected separately.
This system ensures that queues at both the cash desks and the kitchen move smoothly and fairly.
Drinks can be collected directly at the bar kiosk.
Clams can be collected directly at the clam kiosk.
The organizers of the Festa delle Cape reserve the right to temporarily suspend orders if the volume exceeds the kitchen’s capacity.
In such cases, the ticket dispenser may be removed earlier than the scheduled closing time of the cash desks and kitchen.
If, after completing all current orders, the cash desks and kitchen remain open, new orders may still be placed by joining the queue at the cash desk.

You will then receive a summary receipt, a ticket for each dish, and a kitchen number.
At 11:30 AM and 5:30 PM, your number will appear on the kitchen display.
Present your number, summary ticket, and all product tickets (except for drinks and clams).
Collect drinks directly from the bar kiosk.
Collect clams directly from the clam kiosk.
Due to the high number of visitors, there is a ticket dispenser at the entrance of the Festa delle Cape.
Each guest must take a ticket, fill out the menu sheet available nearby, and wait for their number to be called at the cash desk.
When your number is called, go to the cash desk, place your order, pay, and receive a kitchen number.
When your order is ready, your number will be called by the kitchen.
We recommend arriving early to ensure enough time to order and eat comfortably.
